Tradovate

Tradovate is not connectable in Nyria yet, and no futures strategy runs on Nyria today. This page previews the planned futures integration.

Tradovate integration is coming soon and cannot be connected yet. No broker on Nyria routes futures today, so a futures strategy has nowhere to run. This page previews the planned integration.

Tradovate is a specialized futures brokerage offering low commissions and professional-grade tools.

Both are planned, once the integration ships:

  • Paper Trading - Simulated futures trading
  • Live Trading - Real futures trading

Connecting Tradovate

Planned, once the integration ships:

  1. Click Integrations in the left sidebar
  2. Find Tradovate in the Brokers grid and click its card
  3. Click Connect live account or Connect paper account
  4. Paste the API key and secret you generated at tradovate.com
  5. Select the account to connect

  • Commodity futures (CL, GC, SI, etc.)
  • Index futures (ES, NQ, YM, RTY)
  • Currency futures
  • Agricultural futures

Order Types

  • Market orders
  • Limit orders

Nyria routes market and limit orders only, on every broker.

Margin Requirements

Futures margin varies by contract:

  • ES (S&P 500) - ~$13,000 per contract
  • NQ (NASDAQ) - ~$17,000 per contract
  • CL (Crude Oil) - ~$5,500 per contract
  • GC (Gold) - ~$8,500 per contract

Futures require significant margin. Ensure you have adequate capital before trading.

Position Sizing

Futures trade in whole contracts only:

  • No fractional contracts
  • Each contract has fixed margin requirement
  • Position size = number of contracts

Limitations

  • Futures only (no stocks, options, or crypto)
  • Whole contracts only
  • Significant margin requirements

Troubleshooting

"Insufficient margin"

Futures require substantial margin. Check your available balance meets the contract's margin requirement.

"Contract not found"

Ensure the futures symbol is correct and the contract is actively traded.

"Outside trading hours"

Futures have specific trading hours. Some contracts trade nearly 24/5, others have limited hours.
