Sell your strategy through Nyria

Set a monthly price and Nyria sells your strategy for you. Members pay Nyria by card, Nyria keeps its fee, and Stripe pays you the rest.

Who it's for

Creators who want to sell a strategy without running checkout, refunds and disputes themselves. You need no creator plan, no card on file and no Stripe or Whop account of your own.

To sell on your own checkout instead, see Sell on Whop and Sell with Stripe. You can sell some strategies through Nyria and others on your own checkout.

How the money moves

  1. A member pays Nyria by card on Stripe Checkout. Nyria sells the subscription in its own name, as the merchant of record.
  2. Nyria keeps its fee, and Stripe's card processing fee comes out of the payment.
  3. The rest is your share. Nyria sends it to your Stripe Express account, where it becomes available when the payment settles. Stripe then pays it to your bank on your payout schedule.

You can sell before you set up payouts. Your share is held for you and sent when Stripe enables your payout account.

What Nyria charges

$50 a month per member for each $10,000 of total entry allocation their plan allows, rounded up to the next $10,000. A plan that allows $25,000 counts as $30,000, so Nyria keeps $150 a month from each member on it.

  • The fee follows the plan's total entry allocation, not your price
  • It comes out of each payment. Nothing is billed to you, so a month with no members costs nothing
  • Card processing is Stripe's fee for each payment, and depends on the card

A plan's total entry allocation is the budget per entry across all live bots a member runs on your strategy. See total entry allocation.

The lowest price

Each plan has a lowest price, set so a payment by a standard US card still leaves you something after Nyria's fee and card processing. The plan editor shows it for the total entry allocation you set: $53 a month for $10,000, $105 for $20,000 and $156 for $30,000.

Set up a plan

1. Open the plan editor

On your strategy's page:

  • On a Premium strategy, open the ⋯ menu, select Manage pricing, then Sell through Nyria.
  • On a strategy that isn't Premium, select Set a price on the Sell this strategy card, or Sell in the ⋯ menu. Both show on an active or paused strategy with closed trades. Without closed trades, make the strategy Premium under Who can copy it in Edit, then use Manage pricing.

2. Set the plan

In New plan, set:

  • Plan name: shown at checkout after the strategy's name. It starts as the strategy's name.
  • Total entry allocation: the most a member's live bots on your strategy can add up to in budget per entry, in $1,000 steps. It sets Nyria's fee.
  • Price per month: in US dollars. Plans are monthly.

Under the price, the editor works out your share of each payment: You keep about $X per member each month after Nyria's $Y fee and card processing. It's an estimate at Stripe's standard US card rate. Earnings shows what each payment cost.

3. Save it

Select Save plan. On a strategy that isn't Premium, Nyria asks Make this strategy Premium? first: a Premium strategy is listed on Discover, and only members can copy it. Read the terms it shows, then select Make Premium and save.

The plan goes on sale when it saves. Plans sold through Nyria lists each plan with its members, an On sale switch and Edit. Select Add plan to offer another tier, and turn on Free paper bots to let anyone run the strategy on paper without buying it.

4. Set up payouts

  1. Under your plans, select Set up payouts. It opens Payouts, which is also linked from Billing.
  2. Pick the Country your bank account is in. It can't be changed later.
  3. Select Set up payouts and finish on Stripe's site.

Payouts

The Payouts page shows where your setup stands:

What Stripe asks for

Stripe asks, on its own pages, for what it needs to verify you and pay you: your legal name, date of birth, address and ID number, sometimes an identity document, the bank account to pay into, and your tax details. A business also gives company and owner details. What it asks for depends on your country, and you accept Stripe's terms as part of setup.

Stripe can pay out in these countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. For any other country, email contact@nyria.io.

Earnings

Earnings lists each payment a member made through Nyria, newest first, with what they Paid, the Card processing fee, the Nyria fee and Your share. Above it, three totals: Waiting for payout setup, On the way and Paid out, which is what reached your Stripe account.

What members see

Your plans show on your strategy's page, each with its price, its total entry allocation and a Subscribe button. The line under them says the plans are sold by Nyria, and that Nyria doesn't vet creators or their results.

  1. A member selects Subscribe. A visitor who isn't signed in signs up or signs in first, because the plan belongs to the Nyria account that checks out.
  2. They pay by card on Stripe Checkout. Checkout says the price is charged that day and every month after until they cancel, that Nyria sells the subscription and pays you a share, and that they cancel in Billing.
  3. Back on your strategy's page, their access turns on, usually within seconds, and the page offers Deploy bot.

A bot on a strategy they bought can trade on a live broker account without a Nyria Pro plan. Their plan's total entry allocation is the most the budget per entry of their live bots on your strategy can add up to.

How members cancel

In Billing, under Strategy subscriptions, a member selects Manage in Stripe and cancels there. They change their card there too, and can also cancel by emailing contact@nyria.io. Access lasts to the end of the period they paid for. After that, their bots on your strategy stop opening new positions, and exits still run.

Change or stop a plan

Manage pricing opens on Plans sold through Nyria.

  • Edit changes a plan's name, price or total entry allocation. Members on the plan keep the price they bought, and a new total entry allocation applies to them too
  • Turning On sale off hides a plan from buyers. Its members keep access, and their subscriptions renew until they cancel
  • To stop the strategy for members who already have it, email contact@nyria.io. Nyria stops their subscriptions from renewing, and you keep the strategy running as you described it until the last period they paid for ends

Deleting a strategy stops its members' renewals and deletes every bot on it, theirs included, though they paid for the rest of their period. Stop selling first, and delete it after the last paid period ends.

Refunds and disputes

Nyria handles refunds and disputes, and decides whether a member gets a refund. Payments aren't refundable, except where the law requires it.

  • A refund takes back the same part of your share: from your Stripe account if it was sent, or from what is waiting to be sent
  • A dispute, when a member challenges a payment with their bank, takes back your whole share of that payment when it opens. Nyria may ask you for details to contest it. If Nyria wins, your share is sent again

Taxes

Stripe collects your tax details, such as your taxpayer ID, during payout setup. You're responsible for the taxes on what you're paid, and for reporting it. Where the law requires a tax form, such as a Form 1099, it's issued through Stripe.

Rules for selling

Sections 13E and 13F of the Terms of Service cover selling and buying through Nyria. The Creator Policy sets what you may claim about your strategy, how you price it and how you treat members.

You're responsible for following financial regulations when you sell access to a strategy. Don't promise returns, and quote past results only as the Creator Policy allows.

Troubleshooting

A member paid but has no access

Access usually turns on within seconds of checkout. If the strategy page says access is taking longer than usual, the member can refresh it in a few minutes, and email contact@nyria.io if access is still off.

A plan won't save

The price is under the lowest price the editor shows for the plan's total entry allocation, or over $100,000 a month. A plan also needs a name.

A payment says "Waiting for payout setup"

Finish payout setup on the Payouts page. Shares held for it are sent when Stripe enables your payout account.
