Automate TradingView alerts to your broker
Turn a TradingView alert into an order at Charles Schwab, Tradier, tastytrade or Alpaca, with no message template to learn and a paper run first.
TradingView can fire an alert, but it can't place an order at your broker. Nyria takes the alert at a webhook URL, reads it, and each bot on the strategy places the order in its own brokerage account. This guide covers the setup end to end, from a paper bot to a live one.
What you need
- A paid TradingView plan with two-factor authentication on. The free plan can't send webhooks.
- A Pine strategy or indicator that fires the alerts you want to trade.
- A Nyria account. Paper trading is free, needs no card and has no time limit.
- For live orders, an account at Charles Schwab, Tradier, tastytrade or Alpaca. You can start without one on Nyria Paper.
Step by step
1. Connect a broker
Select Integrations in the left sidebar. Start with Nyria Paper: select its card, then Create Nyria Paper account.
To add a live account, pick its card in the same grid. Charles Schwab, live Tradier and tastytrade connect by signing in at the broker. Alpaca uses an API key you create. Nyria keeps the broker token encrypted at rest, and the access it holds is for placing and canceling orders. It can't move money.
2. Create the strategy
Go to My strategies and select Create strategy.
- Name and alert source: name the strategy and pick TradingView.
- What it trades: pick the asset type and what each alert does. For options, the strategy's rules pick the contract: by delta, by a number of strikes from at-the-money, or as an offset from another leg. A strategy holds up to 4 legs, all on one expiration.
- Who can copy it: Private keeps the strategy to yourself.
- Which tickers: add your symbols and the max cost per share or per contract.
On Review, select Create draft.
3. Create the TradingView alert
Open the strategy's Integration tab and choose Strategy or Indicator. The Create the alert step shows the alert message and the webhook URL, each with a copy button.
In TradingView:
- Press
Alt+A(Option+Aon Mac) to open a new alert. - Set Condition to your script. For a strategy, choose Order fills only. For an indicator, pick its alert and set Trigger to Once Per Bar Close.
- Open Message and paste the alert message from Nyria over the text there.
- Open Notifications, select Webhook URL and paste the URL from Nyria.
- Select Back, then Create.
Anyone with the webhook URL can send alerts to the strategy, so keep it private. If it leaks, select Rotate token on the Integration tab and paste the new URL into the alert.
4. Check the format
Back in Nyria, select Check format, then Check and save. Nyria reads the message the way it will read a live alert and shows the ticker and side it found. The strategy turns Active when every side passes.
5. Deploy a paper bot
On the strategy, select Deploy bot. If the switch at the top says Live, select Paper. Set Budget per entry, select Next, then Deploy on Nyria Paper.
Let the alert fire for a few sessions. Each order shows on the bot's Logs tab, so you can hold it up against the alert that caused it.
6. Go live
When the paper orders match what you expect, deploy a bot on your live account, or edit the paper bot and pick the live account. Live trading needs a Nyria Pro plan: $100 a month per $10,000 of total entry allocation, which is the sum of every live bot's budget per entry. Start with a small budget per entry.
What to put in the alert message
The message Nyria gives you in Create the alert works as it is. If your alerts already carry a message, keep it. Nyria reads plain text or JSON, with no template to match. Every alert needs a ticker, a direction and an action:
SPY long entry{
"ticker": "{{ticker}}",
"action": "{{strategy.order.action}}",
"marketPosition": "{{strategy.market_position}}",
"prevMarketPosition": "{{strategy.prev_market_position}}"
}TradingView fills in the placeholders before it sends the alert. The size comes from the bot, not the message: each bot sizes every order from its own budget per entry.
What happens at the broker
When TradingView posts the alert, Nyria reads it once for the strategy. Then each bot on the strategy places its own order:
- The order goes to the bot's account at Charles Schwab, Tradier, tastytrade or Alpaca, or to Nyria Paper.
- Its size comes from the bot's budget per entry.
- It's a market or limit order, as the strategy sets.
- An identical alert body repeated within 30 seconds is dropped, so an alert TradingView sends twice doesn't open two positions.
- Exits come from your exit alerts. Nyria doesn't attach a stop or a target to the entry.
Limits today
- Live orders go to Charles Schwab, Tradier, tastytrade and Alpaca. Webull, TradeStation, Binance, Binance US, Coinbase, Coinbase US and Tradovate are coming soon, with no date set.
- No futures or forex.
- No bracket, OCO or trailing-stop orders.
- Options carry up to 4 legs, all on one expiration.
- No daily-loss cap. A bot keeps taking alerts after a losing day until you pause it.

Migrate from TradersPost
Move your TradingView, Discord, and broker setup from TradersPost to Nyria. Your alerts work as they are, with no template to rewrite.
Turn Discord trade alerts into broker orders
Have Nyria read a Discord channel in a server you run and place the calls posted there, like BTO SPY 12/18 580C, as orders at your broker.
